    London will be hosting the 2024 Ontario Summer Games over the August long weekend, beginning Thursday, August 1 to Sunday, August 4, 2024. The Games will take place at multiple locations across the city. A full list of venues will be posted on the Games website when venues are finalized.

    The Opening Ceremony will be hosted on Thursday, August 1st at Western Alumni Stadium (on campus at Western University) and will begin at 6pm. Admission is FREE and open to the public, so no tickets or reservations are required to attend.

    The London 2024 Ontario Summer Games presented by London Hydro will feature 3,500 participants (athletes, coaches and officials), with most athletes' ages ranging from 12 to 18 years old.

    Participants/teams are selected by each sport’s respective Provincial Sport Organization through a qualification process. Please contact your sport’s Provincial Sport Organization for more information.

    Sports competing in the London 2024 Ontario Summer Games presented by London Hydro are determined by a sport selection process conducted by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport with the recognized Provincial Sport Organizations.     London was awarded the 2024 Ontario Summer Games by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport through a competitive bid process.

    All participants will be housed in accommodations provided by the Games. Participant accommodations will be communicated to you by your Provincial Sport Organization. For the safety of all participants, accommodation locations of each sport are not publicly posted.

    Volunteers at the London 2024 Ontario Summer Games must be at least 14 years of age as of August 1, 2024.

    Volunteers will be selected on a rolling basis. A member of the Games will contact you with more information regarding your role once you have been selected.
